Batman was excellent! It probably won’t win any Oscars but it was good nonetheless. I always judge a movie by whether I got my money’s worth. I definitely did with Batman. Go see it if you haven’t yet.
Today is our 5th wedding anniversary! Can you believe it! I was telling Hallie that it either feels like 50 years or 1 year but certainly not 5. 50 years because we’ve had so many joys, pains, experiences, and stories together. 1 year because I feel like I’m just beginning (barely) to figure out how to do this thing called being a husband.
We spent our anniversary out at a friend’s lake house with the boys. We swam, played, boated, and had a general good time. Here is to 50 more anniversaries just like this one.

It’ll be a late night tonight. We have our youth group Coffee House meeting and then it is on to Batman at 930. I haven’t seen it yet and am excited. Should be a raucous evening of fun for all.

So we came up with a new way to get Joseph to sleep later than his normal 6:20 am wake time. We covered over the minute side of a digital clock with paper and wrote a 7 on it. Then we told him that he couldn’t get up in the morning until there was a 7 in the hour side. Well…he just woke up saying that he “lost the number.” He went to bed at 7 and was up when the clock turned to 8 pm. He thought that the 7 got lost and wasn’t coming back. It took us a good 10 minutes to describe to him that the 7 would be back in the morning. And that it was just resting like he was. Ah, the mind of a child.

Well, I’m back to blogging. I’ve always liked wordpress over blogger but haven’t found a free hosting site for wordpress until now. So, for now, I’m making the switch to this site. You can still view the old site for archived posts.
As for the family. We are doing well. Will has just recovered from the stomach bug. How do I know he is fully recovered? Well, because he ate 5 pancakes and half a banana for breakfast this morning. At least for our boys, appetite is a good measure of wellness. Joseph is doing well too. He is still loving his “retro” red flyer tricycle. He asks for a walk every afternoon, which consists of me walking Will in the jogging stroller around the block with Joseph following on his trike.
